I'm introducing my good friend J.G.Clay to you tonight. He's a relatively new author, at least to me, but none the less very awesome, with enough dark tales in his twisted head to scare even the darkest of minds.
I recently had the pleasure of meeting him at a book signing (Second City Signing in Birmingham) and I was lucky enough to have my table facing his. The day was, of course an absolute blast, with the readers and bloggers making it an event to remember, but that's for another blog post next week. However, it was down to J.G. Clay and his fantastic wife that the weekend was the most memorable. He says that she made him go bald, I say that she did him a great service, because his head is so freaking shiny now! (he'll love me for mentioning that!) I'm looking forward to catching up with him again next year at another signing or two, but in the meantime I've purchased a copy of his new book, and DAMN this is creepy stuff! You should go one-click too. It's barely the price of a cup of coffee. In fact, you should probably buy a coffee while you're at it too, sine you're going to need the caffeine to calm your nerves after reading it! Anyway, on to the main man himself... _____________________________________________________________ J.G Clay is definitely a Man of Horror. There can be no doubt. Putting aside the reverence he has for the horror greats, such as King, Barker, Herbert, Carpenter, Romero and Argento, there is another fact that defines his claim for the title of the 'Duke of Spook'. He was born on Halloween night. By a quirk fate, it was also a full moon that night. Co-incidence? Here at Clay Towers, we don't believe in coincidences. The 41 year old hails from the Midlands in the United Kingdom, is married with one step child and two dogs that bear a strong resemblance to Ewoks. Beyond the page and the written word, he is music mad and can hold down a tune on a bass guitar pretty well. He is an avid reader and also has an enduring love of British sci-fi, from the pages of the '2000A.D' comic to the televised wanderings of Gallifrey's most famous physician. Clay is also a long-time fan of the mighty Birmingham City Football Club and endures a lot of flak from his Social Media Links Facebook | Twitter | Website | Blurb, Cover & Purchase Links For
