So here it is. The bad-ass cover for Odium II. the Dead Saga.
What do you think? I am so pleased with how it turned out. I usually do all my own covers, but I was struggling with this one for some reason. You see Odium II is a little darker than the first in the series, there's a lot more character growth and I needed a cover that would represent that.
After stressing over it for a couple of weeks and trying different mock-ups I asked my good writer friend Amy Queau to take a look, and this is what she produced for me.
I can't thank her enough. As soon as I saw it I knew it was perfect and the exact 'look' I was going for.
Here's the Goodreads link for you to add it to your virtual bookshelf if you haven't already. I'd love to see you getting as excited as me for the release, which in case you didn't already know, is going to be May 9th 2014 (fingers crossed) Yeah, my editor will be really pleased that I just gave her that deadline, Mwua hahaha.
The 'Let's Scare Cancer to Death' anthology was supposed to come out by march 1st, but the lovely editor Todd Brown has been sick with kidney stones. He's back on the mend now, and we're hoping that the book will be out by Friday, so keep your one-clicking finger ready for that. I've read the full book and I'm so proud that I'm a contributor to it, alongside some amazing authors like Mark Tufo, Eli Constant, Amand Rosamilia, Rhonda Hopkins and so many more. It's a great cause with all proceeds going to the V-Foundation, and the stories are freaking amazing, extremely dark and ttwisted, with plenty of horror and zombies. What other reason do you need to buy it?
Here's the Goodreads link for that also. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/20566245-let-s-scare-cancer-to-death
My favourite Author Eli Constant is also having a release party for her dystopian horror novel Dead Trees 2, which comes out May 9th.
She's got tons of things planned and she's already been posting cool little things, so you should go join that event too.
The crazy Armand Rosamilia is still going strong with his Authors Support our troops 2014 campaign (#ASOT2014) and at the last count he had over 1200 books from over 50 different authors ready to send over to troops in Kuwait and Afganistan.
If you want to get involved either as a reader or an author there's
a couple of ways how. First off, you could purchase an awesome T-shirt which
will help cover the cost of posting this enormous hoard, check out me below in
my T-shirt. Armand has been doing different colours, and I think he's on to
black at the moment, so go get one.
Also if you're an author, go contact Armand and send him some of your signed books! You have until April.
Of course I contributed and bought a T-shirt so as an author you can do both too. **hint-hint**
While we're talking about Armand, I should tell you that Tim Baker and him are having a book sale at the moment on their Dying Days: Siege box set, so while it's still 99c (for two books!) you should quickly go pick them up...well, virtually download them anyway.
Okay, that's a lot of information for one blog post so I'm out of here. Gotta get back to work on Odium II for you.
As usual... happy reading!
